What is Room Service Anywhere!, anyhow?

I started a delivery business because (a) I knew people needed the service and (b) I needed the money!

One night it struck me that a toll-free number would do me a lot of good. That's when I got 1-866-LURLEEN (587-5336). I can tell you, I got some weird calls! But my business picked up a lot, so I decided to expand.

About then I met someone involved in telephony. He showed me how I could use one toll-free number and run nation-wide, if only I could find the people.

For 2 years, I tried to find people, with very little success. Then I found out that veterans and serving soldiers have money problems. (Yes, don't we all, but these guys have more problems than most people, while surely they deserve fewer, not more!)

So that's why I decided to give preference to veterans, especially disabled vets. And to the wives - well, okay, the spouses - of serving soldiers. And since people who've spent time in uniform are reliable people, I work with retired police officers too.

To stick to the uniform theme, I ask my couriers to wear these nifty garrison caps. The responders wear them too, when they're out drumming up business. And even at the Hub, we wear them. It's great for morale, and it makes people ask "Why the cap?", and so we can tell them all about Room Service Anywhere!

I make it a point to see all my people are properly trained and fully equipped. Murphy's Law is still in operation, just like the law of gravity, and so plenty can go wrong. Proper training, the right equipment, and a professional, optimistic and friendly attitude help to make Murphy's Law a dead letter in our business.

I want to make Room Service Anywhere! the synonym for home delivery. I want it to mean prompt, friendly, and very, very good.
